eBay Tracking Issues - Ignoring Indicated Carrier

I ran into this fun issue on a package I sent out on Friday. Apparently eBay's tracking is ignoring what you input as the carrier and they're randomly picking other carriers, which of course don't have any tracking events. This could be a problem for our metrics and needs to be addressed!

·1 month ago@flipistics It's getting very challenging to rationalize much of what has been going on with eBay (in regards to "their" glitches.
On an unrelated note for the last little while My Active Listing page shows 2221 listings yet my store says I only have 2174. I would like to know where/what the 47 missing listings are and why eBay is hiding them. We can't sell em if eBay is hiding em and in your case buyers want to know who actually has their item. Not something unrelated and inaccurate.
Is the transit time associated to your anomoly consistent with what ebay normally suggests as the window or is that info out to lunch also?

Was it a shipment going by way of the hub. In monitoring a few eis shipments to USA it "seems" to up date the carrier involved each time it gets handed off. I had 1 recently to UT that went CP...DHL...DHL....DHL...Delivered by USPS. The master wb at end was still DHL.
DHL eCommerce (formerly DHL Global Mail): Packages sent through this division are typically transported across the country by DHL and then handed over to the USPS for final delivery to your mailbox or doorstep.
DHL Express: Packages shipped via this premium service are delivered directly by DHL couriers in their yellow and red vans.
If it is a strictly domestic shipment that you are reporting this is major gaff/data updating problem at eBay's end.
As a side who is m9drv listed in the AI portion?

OP1 month ago · EditedIt is eIS, but this was for the leg to the hub. It was still showing as not having been dropped off as of this morning (because the tracking number was linked to USPS instead of Canada Post), even though it was shipped on Friday. I got a dropoff receipt since the shipment was insured so it was definitely scanned in.
The problem is that eBay correctly saw that I indicated it was a Canada Post label, yet they still linked it to USPS instead.
I have no idea about the m9drv. I was wondering that myself.

·1 month agoFWIW- I have been sending eIS shipments to the plant without tracking and so far have had no problems.
EIS does track from the plant to the buyer.
Sometimes the old adage is the best advice: Don't watch tracking unless the buyer complains.

Have you checked to see if they arriving at plant in eBay's suggested window for untracked.? Are they being marked as late? Of the 6 or 7 to date I have sent letter they have all been marked as late. From Calgary they are taking 10 to 15 days to show as accepted at hub. It's never been an issue with domestic letter mail. I can see you being in same 10 to 15 day window from Victoria.
The recent observation is I am now getting more sales marked with low ratings for eis shipping costs. Was never an issue when sending tracked. US buyers were paying 1/3rd compared to what they are paying now. As for shipping time that went from 7 to 10 days up to 21 to 25 days. And it is not like we can confirm who left the low ratings, atleast I have never found a way to do so.

·1 month agoI ignore most of that unless the customer complains. Most of my newer items are listed on dotCA now with eIS.
And I have Global TRS which is a lot more forgiving about tracking and delivery.

From my results eis USA is covered by US TSR's. (The 2 eis I sent internationally were parcel so no issues with them being late. In theory they should be Global.) From the get go mine have arrived late at hub with no Carrier scans. They do eventually show the hub scan. In asking CS to have them removed I was told yes, no, yes, we'll look into, we'll get back to you. Mandicraft was in touch with Luke and was advised this would be corrected but to date nothing changed. I pointed out in a zoom call this would be an issue back in Sept to the powers that be (were setting up the program). Got lots of hmmms etc but it never went anywhere. It only matters if you are trying to keep the discount for TSR's. I am thinking down the road too many and it could effect what you get charged in listing fees with an increase.

The AI summaries are referring to posters as that ID instead of the display name.
