eIS - items not appearing to US buyers due to category, type etc
Summary: The discussion revolves around issues with items not appearing to US buyers on eIS, potentially due to category or type settings. cottagewoman initiated the conversation, which led to further input from lotzofuniquegoodies, jtg204, and marnotom!. jtg204 contributed extensively, but specific solutions or conclusions were not mentioned as the content details are marked 'None.'
Cosmetics of ANY kind aren't visible - not just perfumes.
Dishes, cookware, flatware not visible.
Anything mother of pearl or abalone not visible.
Anything in the Tobaciana category not visible.
Any kind of knife - even chesse spreaders - not visible.
So it looks like a fairly brutal application of both UK/EU limited items (blades, mother of pearl, abalone) with FDA info required items being blocked (cosmetics, dishes, cookware, flatware). Hurts me pretty good, I list quite a bit of these items, everything seller.

·8 months agoBy not visible with EIS do you mean that your listings do not show on .com results, or that they do but EIS is not shown as an active option for US shipping?

·8 months agoWhat about other countries? I'm not clear on whether this is a US-specific exclusion or not.

·8 months agoYour "dishware" is in the "Collectibles & Art" category so that might be why it's showing differently than @cottagewoman 's items.
Maybe the assumption is that if it's in the Collectibles category then it isn't to be used for drinking purposes, and therefore doesn't have the FDA hoops that need to be jumped through. Just spitballing here of course.

Are you getting the impression the block is attached to the category vs the actual item? Stamp and currency sellers are in a similar boat.
According to the screenshot not seeing Tobaciana or your dishwear categories. The cosmetics when flammable is. Possibly AI in use with bad parameters?
