EU De Minimus Ends July 1st - How is new Duty fee being handled by eBay.
How is ebay handling the removal of the de minimus in the EU ( July 1) and the new EU duty fee of 3 Euros on all packages under 150 Euros.
Is ebay going to simply charge this new duty fee? Where can I find the policy on this.

·2 months ago · EditedWhy are items valued at over EUR150 being affected? I sold a $350 slipcover to Finland, and can't ship it. Postal Items of that value have always been assessed by the destination country's Customs (TRUMP was the only one who messed with that).

·3 months agoI bake alot of these prices into my listings as it is. Also, check out Stallion Express for shipping as they can be cheaper than Canada Post regularily. I only really use CP if im shipping to Australia.

·3 months agoImportant points from the ebay announcement:
For sellers using eBay International Shipping (eIS), applicable import fees, including any customs duties, will continue to be handled as part of the program. So no change.
For every other method, the EU will be treated like the USA -- Canada Post shipping through eBay labels will NOT be available. Seller will be responsible for dealing with the extra fee.

·3 months agoThe buyer isn't going to be paying to receive their packages? But that's what they do now, is it because it's going to be applied to every package?
It's also per item in the package, not a flat fee per package (that hasn't come into play yet).
It's going to be annoying if we can't get EU labels through eBay. I guess the EU is doing what the US is doing by making sellers pay the duties. I'm using Stallion, so I want to sell a few packages to see if I can figure out how it will work, however I will have to first adjusting shipping rates (cost for the first item in a package, and the additional item cost). But I don't want that fee structure to affect my other shipments, so I have some research to do.

This was just posted to the announcements.

Going forward sellers this affects will have to decide on their own if it is in their best interests to continue selling to EU or if it is worth the hassle and any possible additional fees for themselves and their buyers.
