Expanding Shipping Locations
Hi there,
I am considering expanding my shipping options to Europe and am trying to create a shipping policy for that region. If you ship to Europe, what primary shipping service do you use? I would like to use Canada Post but I noticed it is not available in the options provided. Could it be because I'm selling on .com and not .ca?

·4 months agoUse eBayInternational Shipping (eIS).
It will show the potential buyer their delivered cost, including VAT and import fees.
If it is "too high" for their pocketbook, they don't buy.
EIS is a Seller Protection program.
Once the package reaches the eIS plant in Mississauga, your responsibility for delivery is over.
Technically you don't even have to use a tracked shipping method, but most sellers do, for their piece of mind.
EIS chooses the shipper which may be the international postal system, or a series of couriers and shippers. You are not responsible for last mile delivery.
There are a few other benefits but that's the big one.

·4 months agoI just put mine down as "Economy Shipping" or whatever. I don't think anyone really looks and nobody has questioned it. You don't order internationally if you need something quick.
I charge enough in my pricing that it works out to flat rate it. Usually ship Canada Post or with Stallion Express.

With listings created on dot com you can only use flat rate or free. You would need to move to ca to be able to use flat rate, free, calculated or have access to eIS.
