This is happening too much. Purchase a Canada Post Expedited Lite label for around $7-9 bucks. Package weights and dimensions entered correctly, and I always add a little weight and add onto the dimensions as well to avoid issues.
Then a month later when the money is finally taken out of my balance, I get charged $11.67. I know it is only a few bucks differnce, but it still is wrong.
It seems to be with items shipped to EIS. But have also had other ones do this as well. All boxed shipments as well.

·6 months agoBoth Canada Post and UPS overcharge me often. I have compalined to Ebay but it seems they just blame it on the shipping services, saying that we have the direct contract with them and that Ebay is just an intermediary with no responsibility. Apparently it is up to us to individually address the overcharging with the shipping service. This is not right. The price we pay for shipping should be honoured!!! Do we have to inflate our shipping weight and dimensions now to protect ourselves from scam shipping fees?

·6 months agoYou should absolutely do that. Also remember that the dimensions printed on the box are usually inside dimensions, not outside. The automated systems will also pick up on little bits of loose cardboard sticking out, especially from the corners. You should add a minimum of 1 cm to all measured dimensions and at least 10g of weight if possible (maybe not for expedited lite).
Remember to generally measure from the middle of the sides of the box rather than the corners since they often stick out a little more. For weight, remember that humidity can add a little weight between when you send a package out and when it gets weighed and measured at the sort center.
I almost never have overcharges with UPS or Canada Post (aside from the issues eBay labels is having right now).

·6 months agoSame thing, the cancer overcharge again with the label charges being super delayed. What was supposed to be $6.41 is now $8.20.

·6 months agoOops. I meant to say they've been charged as expedited lite, but with an overcharge.

·6 months agoThis has also been happening to me for the past 3 months of sales. Everything we sent out as expedited lite to the hub was charged as expedited parcel.

·6 months agoLooks like it's happening to me as well.

·6 months agoI received the charge today as well, but every Lite package I sent to EIS was overcharged.
Should I contact Canada Post or eBay Support? It seems neither is willing to help me out.

·6 months agoAlso send e-mail to EIS@ebay.ca to report being charged Expedited rates to the Hub for Expedited Lite labels for EIS.
jtg204
·6 months ago$11.67 was probably the full expedted parcel rate to the hub. It would be more now if you checked the rate to compare, 15-20 cents more.
Has anyone not been over charged for Lite labels to the EIS hub?
It seems this is applying to packages where VE is even under the limit, unlike the problem before, and it's coming as a single charge instead of second charge.

·6 months agoI had this issue for a while, specifically with boxed items. I was also being charged twice for some shipments. I reported it to ebay and they said it was a known issue. I don't seem to be experiencing it anymore.
My label charges are still delayed and I find that very frustrating. Delayed label charges have wiped out my sales from the past two days. It's all on the up and up but it's a bummer to see every time.

OP6 months agoThe delayed labels are very frustrating. My son has had more issues with delayed billing than I have. One sale from December 7 didn't bill until the end of February and another from January 3 just billed a week ago(and this one got upcharged to the $11.67 expedited lite as well).
Do you have any tips for getting eBay to deal with this issue? I will be contacting them later this afternoon.

·6 months agoI am a complainer and report everything to ebay, haha. I would say just have the order numbers in question ready. I spoke with the regular, outsourced service via the contact us. I had to fudge the system until it gave me the option to have someone call me. That's how I always contact them. Not sure if anyone knows a better way to reach them.
The person I spoke with knew about the issue and wanted every order number. I had quite a few at the time and they wanted me to read out each one individually. They did not follow up after but I did check and was eventually credited back.
Also, and I am not a lover of AI, but I did use chat gpt to find duplicate orders for me. I just copy and pasted all the label charges into it and asked it to look for duplicate order numbers.
