I am getting really tired of trying to fix/adjust/cajole my listings to align with the EIS program. I am tired of going through my listings to see what I am doing wrong and trying to figure out what buttons I need to press to make it work properly. The old saying "Life is Too Short" really applies to this and eBay with the way their system is working is wasting a lot of my life trying to make it work. I know I have lost sales because US customers think I won't ship to them. What is the point of paying for a store if the largest market is not reaching out because they think you won't ship to them. I love Canada and really appreciate Canadian customers but we have to be pragmatic and realize the US is still a very large market. EIS was supposed to simplify everything and make it easy to ship Internationally. How difficult can it be? Sell your item. Ship the item to Mississauga and they ship it to your customer. Easy right? Hard to sell anything if EIS tells the customer you won't ship to them. Please eBay, do better.

·4 months agoRegardless if they are exempt or not there are no import fees dues upon delivery to the united states via. Canada Post. A canada post label can not be purchased without pre paying. UPS and FedeX does not show the big exclamation point Due to US customs policies, the buyer of this item will need to pay import fees to the shipping carrier prior to delivery. FYI during checkout if you have any other shipping options along with EIS every other one will say PAY IMPORT FEES.

·4 months agoThe 'disclaimer' currently appears on over 9000 of my listings. In the case of every single one of them, the disclaimer is false. Every one of my listings on which shipping to the US is enabled is tariff free under the 'instructional materials' exemption. More than half are double exempt, as they are both 'instructional materials' and manufactured in the US.

Hi @reallynicestamps! I do not have a date for when the banner will be removed but I will ask Product to see if there is anything that can be shared.

Beside the warning there is a link to 'more about import fees' leading to the .com tariffs page.
Down further on that page there is a section for feedback where there is a link to a survey where you can complain, not that it will make any difference:

·4 months agoThe tarrifs are one thing, but the selling platform lying about import fees due upon delivery to the United States with canada post is outrageous. No response or explanation is equally outrageous. These LIES need to be removed from our listings.

·4 months agoAnd when are they going to remove the completely UNTRUE disclaimer about tariffs being due upon delivery? If you ship via the Post Office, at least, all tariffs must be prepaid . The only way to do that currently is to bury it in the price or shipping, or to use eIS (which also collects on this side of the border, does it not?).
SO WHY SCARE OFF USA CUSTOMERS FOR NO REASON!!!!!!!

·4 months agoAs of Feb. 24, 2026, we have a probably very narrow window of time to actually sell to the USA without much trouble (treating it as 10% off sale on my items---tariffs included in price). BUT EBAY IS SCREWING THIS UP WITH ALL THEIR UNTRUE MESSAGING ABOUT COD TARIFFS!!!!!!!!!!

·4 months agoUnless you have a significant number of listings that aren't qualifying, I'd suggest not worrying about it. Your time is probably better spent listing more items than beating your head against the wall over some percentage of listings not showing for the USA.
