I sell CD's and about 50% of them were made in the US and the rest were made in Canada and EU. This is my understanding and what I was thinking of doing. From what I have been reading, it looks like shipments from China: Goods that qualify under the de minimis exemption will be subject to a duty of either 30% of their value, or $25 per item. That rate will increase to $50 per item on June 1, the White House said. Once they get that in place they possibly will extend it to other countries. What I am thinking of doing. I would list CD's that are made in the US on .com and shipping would be to the US and Canada. I assume that because the item was made in the US there would by no duty or tariff when shipping to the US. Have I got that right? CD's made in Canada I would list on .ca with shipping to Canada and to the US until any tariffs come into play. If they do, I would then change the shipping to only be to Canada. Have I got that right? I would really appreciate your help as this is a lot of work changing the listings to either .com or .ca Thanks in advance.
