Help needed to close store.
Summary: triber has a store on "Time Away" and is concerned about ongoing fees amidst the uncertainty with Canada Post. They wish to transition to free listings as they are unhappy with the $35 deductions. triber asks whether closing their store would mean relisting items, whether they can close during "Time Away," and if they will continue to be charged. ypdc_dennis clarifies about potential listing fees, while recped reassures that listings won’t be affected and there’s no penalty for monthly subscriptions. triber later confirms they have canceled the subscription and seeks further guidance, to which recped provides clarity regarding the prepaid status and "Time Away" effects.
I have my store on Time Away, I don't want to risk sales with the uncertainty of Canada Post.
I now want to go to free listings, just got another payment of $35 dollars coming off my bank account.
I have questions:
1) If I close my store, do I lose all my listings and have to completely relist each one if I go to free listing?
2) Can I only close my store while it is on Time Away?
3) I pay a monthly fee for my store, will I be charged for future payments if I close my store?
I tried to find out about this earlier and got a lot of kind advice, but it was a bit confusing with different advice, I don't want to keep paying fees when I am not selling. I have less than 240 listings at the moment.
I really appreciate the help you are wiling to give.

OP1 year agoSo I have cancelled my subscription, does that mean I have closed my store? Not sure where to go from here, I want to open my store with free listings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

·1 year agoAs I indicated in my previous post, you ended your Store subscription on June 2nd (or maybe June 1st), you have prepaid for June so your Store remains active until June 30th.
Right now you are on Time Away until June 15th so if you have any active listings nobody can see them (except you).

·1 year ago1 - Nothing happens with your listings
2 - You can close your store anytime you want, if you do it today it will run through the end of June
3 - If you have a one year subscription there can be a penalty for early termination. If you are month-to-month there is no penalty. BOTH pay Store fees monthly.

·1 year agoIs your store subscription monthly rate or annual rate (that will cost extra if ending early)
If switching to no-store the listings will still be available, but you will get charged a listing fee (35 cents + tax) for any in excess of the 250 "free" monthly allotment.
