How to filter by or get list of active item's country of origin entered as item specifics?
Is there any way to filter or download *all* my active listings by country of origin/manufacture?
I can download exactly what I am looking for but only for about 65% of listings that have 'missing or required item specifics' on the Manage Active Listings page, using the 'download' button. However I can't find a way to search by or get a listing of my entire active listings by manufacture locations?

·2 months agoThis is a question I myself would love to know the proper answer to, as the filtering system previously did allow the ability to filter country of origin to a much more specific level than it currently does.
Many years ago, this system was present prior to the year 2016, and it allowed for users which are buying to be able to avoid fraudulent listings that end up flooding the search results each time you perform a search.
The filtering options previously would actually allow for proper searching that would assist with either the consumer, or people such as myself that are working doing historical documentation and archiving when trying to source items for museums or academic institutions archives.
I'm unsure as to the specifics as to why this option was changed, but I'd almost assume that the relevance of the change was negligible towards ROI; personally I'd wish to see the old filtering system return, as the amount of time that I end up spending having to sift through tons of fraudulent listings will end up taking an entire day in order to find a single relevant listing; reporting fraudulent listings in general also seems to do absolutely nothing and would require a substantial amount of time to the point at which you'd have to wonder if anyone reporting that many listings was employed by eBay to do so in the first place. Many of the sellers which create fraudulent listings will end up using automated systems or numerous burner accounts if any action is taken against them by eBay staff/moderation; the previous filtering system being brought back onto the platform would not only assist consumers/buyers with using the platform in a way which is relevant to them and provides them with the ability to find the listings they're looking for, but would also produce a higher level of user/buyer approval and positivity towards eBay as a platform.
This problem with filtration is significant enough for it to have been a complaint across numerous platforms including eBay's own community forum, which has been complained about actively for years with no visible response towards fixing or acknowledging the removal of the filtration system in the first place.
I personally love eBay and have used it as a platform for years since it's been incredibly useful in my work for archival and sourcing many numerous unusual examples of unarchived items or creations; I'd really prefer to see the filtration system return back to the way that it was since the current system makes it incredibly time consuming for me, as I have to sift through tons of fraudulent listings which overwhelm any listings made by genuine sellers that aren't misrepresenting what they claim to be selling.
Hopefully the previous filtration system will return, but for now the ability to directly filter specific countries out of your search results on eBay isn't available anymore. The only thing that you're currently really able to do, is refine your search to within your own country, continent, or a specific radius within the vicinity of your postal code. Even the advanced search options no longer allow for the same level of filtering that was previously available, you can end up limiting your search through advanced search to eBay Canada as a platform, or the location or availability of one country as well as the filtering capabilities outside of the advanced search options, but the specific ability to selectively prune or select multiple countries outside of the options provided, is a feature that no longer is available and was mothballed years ago.
I know that this answer isn't likely to do much help, but if it was able to, I hope that it can help to some manner. I wish that the old filtering system would return but currently I'm unsure if it ever will.

OP1 year agoI found I can filter by searching various country names on profile/store page.
It matches the item specifics, but also descriptions with the searched country come up too but in most cases this does what I was trying to do without starting a software trial for third party tools.
