How to Get EIS to Kick In

After several calls to eBay and receiving a different misleading response every time I thought I'd try posting here. I list on eBay.com but I'd like to use the International shipping program for the banned European countries. I've created listings on ebay.ca but can't get the EIS to work.
I was told that since I registered on eBay.com it won't work for me and that I should create a new account on eBay.ca. I registered on eBay before there was a Canadian eBay so maybe that's a problem now. I don't know.
I received other misleading information as well.
Can someone here please tell me if there's a way to list items on eBay.ca and use the EIs.? It seems to be the only way to ship to many European countries now.

·2 weeks ago · EditedAs has been noted elsewhere, eIS on the .com site is currently only available to US-based sellers. Since eIS on .com currently involves the seller shipping the item to a hub located in the United States, enabling non-US sellers to use it in its current form would be problematic, to say the least.
My understanding of eIS on the .ca site is that it’s still by invitation only. Have you been invited to opt into the program? If you have, and you’ve set your seller preferences accordingly, then the only thing I can think of that could be causing problems for you is that AI is filtering out eIS from your listings. Antique and vintage items seem to present a lot of challenges for eIS, and given the value of your items, it may be that it’s been “decided” that it’s better to have eIS disabled on your listings rather than have your items sent to the hub, fail inspection, dead-end, and disappoint buyers.

Have you tested by signing into eBay dot ca to create a listing and then checked to see if eis was coming up as an option on that listing? Currently dot com created listings do not qualify for eis Canada. Maybe down the road but hard no presently. If your newly created listing does show eis then the only way would be to be to cancel and re-create each listing on dot ca with the understanding that not all categories are available. Easiest test I can think of without creating a new account and losing your hard earned feedback.

OP2 weeks agoThe reason I'm trying to list on eBay.ca is because I can't use US EIs on .com, but I can't create a listing on .ca which has EIs as a shipping option.
