One of the depots used is located between the Eaton & Palisades Park fires. When I checked yesterday that depot had a temporarily closed message. Any mail at or going through that depot could be delayed for the forseeable future. They are doing whatever they can to reduce traffic. There are curfews in serveral areas to prevent looting (sadly required). They may be directing mail to other depots in the meantime. eBay has an announcement related to the fire explaining the delays etc.

This package which I dropped off at the local post office on Dec 30th has been on quite a journey thus far...

Just for clarity, the final destination for this is Massachusetts, USA I shipped it from Montreal, MA is just South not far, certainly not Singapore, lol

Can't blame that on the fires.... I've had some oddballs over the years too. Package for US went to Australia, then New Zealand, then back to Australia, then Singapore i think? Somewhere like that, then Jamaica NY. At the time i thought it was Jamaica the country.....lol. But it was delivered at correct address with a total travel time of 27-ish days. No complaints from the buyer.

i was wondering about this. I have an incoming parcel that was shipped from not far from LA that is coming USPS via Globalpost (who are taking it to USPS). It's just been sitting since Wed with no updates, so Globalpost has not been able to hand it over to USPS. I imagine it would be going to the LA International Service Center.

Over 7000 buildings now destroyed in the areas of the fires. Plus countless thousands of others damaged. Terrible.

my incoming package that was mailed in the LA area has finally been processed by USPS at the ISC LA. Took 9 days total from the time it was shipped but things are moving at least.
