Lettermail to eIS Displaying a False Statement to Buyers in The Tracking

Everytime a shipment is sent to the eIS Hub untracked with Lettermail. The following message appears in View Tracking: "This item was shipped in more than one box to our hub." I never really cared, but it might create confusion to a paranoid buyer in the future. I already saw a thread on eBay.com talking about it. Totally a lie, why even mention that in the first place?

·3 months agoMy thoughts are along the same lines as @msau4301's. Untracked items reaching the hub might receive the same internal ID when they're checked in, so they appear to be associated with the same order until they get relabelled with tracking and entered into the system as shipped.
Weird thing is that nobody else who sends items to the hub untracked has noted this. Perhaps they just haven't noticed.
For what it's worth, @an_709184, I did check the .com site for posts along the lines of what you're describing and I could only find your post on a short thread that seems to be describing a different instance of this message showing up in the tracking. Because US sellers have less expensive ways to send tracked shipments domestically than Canadian sellers, I don't think there are very many--if any--US sellers sending stuff to the US eIS hub untracked.
You can always send an email to the Canadian eIS development team if you'd like to bring this to their attention.

·3 months agoThat certainly is a strange thing to say. Maybe all of the untracked lettermail that comes into the hub for distribution is put into several larger bins ("more than one box") that have to be sorted and treated differently than the larger tracked parcels. The barcode on tracked packages has info included that would be faster, so the lettermail takes a little longer and until complete sits in these mystery boxes??
Just a guess, otherwise doesn't make much sense.
