Managed Payments processing times on buyer's payments seems to be taking longer?
Summary: fergua3 and several other participants discuss the recent delays in eBay's payment processing times, noting that they're experiencing slower than usual processing for buyer payments. edubb101 shares a similar experience with unexpected processing delays, while lotzofuniquegoodies indicates inconsistency in timing, seemingly influenced by the value of the order and other fees. msau4301 expresses mixed feelings, appreciating the minor delays due to lagging shipping label charges. recped notices variability influenced by international transactions but says recent experiences have been timely. darak10 attributes some delays to Canadian long weekends affecting processing schedules, a view supported by fergua3, who speculates about eBay's potential cash flow issues. Overall, the discussion highlights community concerns over unpredictable processing speeds.
Had a couple of sailes in the last few says (finally!) but the processing times on both of them have been a bit slower than usual. On one, instead of being the next day, as per ususal, it took 2 days and the other was actually late by a day (was supposed to be processed by the 2nd and wasn't until the 3rd). Have never had one processed late before.
Not talking about deposits into my bank, rather the actual processing time it takes Ebay to process the buyer's payment and make the funds available.
Anyone else notice this? It's not a huge deal but it will mean on some sales, i'll have to wait an extra week for the deposit to my bank account to happen.

·1 year agoi've had this happen. generally it seems to coincide with long weekends in Canada, we have a few more of these than the US does - banks were closed here the first monday in August and it seems to mess up the processing, so they skip a processing day Ive noticed with our long weekends and let it accrue, releasing the cumulative amount the day after. Funny as I went to the states that weekend and the customs guy was like "you have a holiday on Monday??? whats it for???" lol
That being said, they did miss my payout this past Friday. First time theyve missed one since MP started.

OP1 year agowell it seems to be the new norm, for me at least. All payments are being processed 15 hours to a full day later than they were up until the last few weeks. I've had 2 out of 5 payments processed a full day after the processed due date. So far this has resulted in 2 payments being delayed by a week in being transferred to my bank account because they weren't processed in time for the Tuesday payout when, until recently, they always would have been processed in time.
Maybe Ebay is having cash flow problems and this delay in making processed payment money available to sellers is a way for them to build up a big slush fund of money for them to use.

·2 years agoAlthough I monitored the time in "processing" in the early days of MP, back then it was variable and generally slow. I've hit a rreally dead period in the past two week but had some sales yesterday that because of this thread I though I would try to monitor.
A sale (US) from 8:15am was processed when I checked at 1:00am, another sale from 9:23pm yesterday, also US, was processed when I checked at 1:00pm today. I have another sale today at 4:24pm (CA), I'll try to check it in the overnight period.
Fewer specifics but I did check last week (or the week before?) to see what would be inbcluded in my Tuesday Payout, I had a sale on the monday afternoon and it was included in my Tuesday payment so somewehere in the 12 - 16 hour time frame.
Bottom line, I'm not generally seeing any delays although some international transactions do seem to take a bit longer than CAN/US transactions.

OP1 year agoi've had another one processed late. Sale was on the 4th and processing was to have been completed on the 6th (before this slowdown in processing times, it would have been on the 5th). Anyway, it was late and not processed until around noon on the 7th.

·2 years agoYes, I've noticed a slight delay in processing (and I'm set up for daily). Sometimes I'm glad for the delay (assuming it's only a day or two) because as lotz has said the charges for shipping labels have been really, really behind and I prefer them to come out of the payments.

·2 years agoHello,
I've noticed this as well.
I had 3 sales today that were all small. The first sale payment will finnish processing on August 7th yet the next two will be processed on August 6th.
I had 1 sale on August 3rd with the payment supposed to be processed today (August 5th) and as of now it has not. All my August 4th sales are schedules to be processed on August 6th. Normally processing is the next day.
Let's see how this plays out.

As of late it has been a bit over the map. In recent past it has been 24 to 36 hours for buyers payments. As of late 48 to 60 but value of order can speed it up or slow it down. Optional fees are immediate. Postage charges are also all over the place when it comes to timing. Really no actual consistency and doesn't seem to matter if item has been dropped off or processed on a Sat. for handing off on Monday/Tuesday with holidays. Still waiting for a postage charge for a shipment created on Aug 1 and delivered in QC.
