Negative and Neutral Feedback
Summary: lotzofuniquegoodies discusses changes to eBay's handling of negative and neutral feedback, noting that these feedbacks no longer disappear completely after a year, although they don't affect the feedback percentage. They mention efforts to appeal feedback but find it challenging. sapphyres-designer-jewellery adds that lifetime feedback counts have always been accessible and suggests the situation might be a glitch. clemowbooks shares a similar experience with a delay in feedback count updates affecting their profile.
As an FYI to anyone that has happened to get one of those annoying negative or neutral feedbacks....deserved or not, it appears eBay has modified how they get treated sometime in the past year. Previously they poofed/went bye bye/hit the road, Jack/S-A-Y-O-N-A-R-A/auf Wiedersehen etc after 1 year or 365 days. Whichever happened first. That is no longer what is going on under the hood. Now they do in theory go away, not affecting your % (when they poof your % reverts back to 100 if you had 1) but they are still visible to buyers for review. You can try appealing one of those feedbacks either with your buyer or thru the appeal process with eBay, but best of luck. It sounds like either there was an announcement about this on dot com or it was discussed in the forum. As far as I can track down there was nothing on Canadian forum about this. All I know is for anyone, myself included, the 100% feedback rating is a badge of honour. Any negative or neutral is considered a nuisance.
As for the new Auto Feedback system that is definitely having an affect on TSR's and getting them because they are not applicable to that system. Makes the actual number(s) very wonky to say the least.

·5 days agoAt one time negative feedback would bother me for days but frankly as long as I know I did a good job on my end I really couldn’t care less anymore. There are too many other things in life to worry about than someone’s hissy fit.

·1 week agoAre you fussing because your sole neg in the past 12months is still visible in your FB Count although your Rating has returned to 100%?
I had a similar situation and the Count lagged by a few days behind the 12 month Rating.

·1 week agoThe negatives have always been indefinitely visible if you scrolled through someone's feedback, the thing is if they go away from your percentage and the count at the top, they can't click that and make the negs show up.
My software that lists auctions shows me my total count of negs/neutrals/pos FB for the lifetime of the account, it's always been that way.

I had 1 that "went away" late last month. This is how my page displays currently. In the past they completely disappeared after the 1 year window lapsed. I've never scrolled back to see if they will still visible in the collection. Not sure how many folks scroll back thru 100's or 1000's of listings to check a sellers record but probably not many. A page or 2 is usually a good enough idea.

·5 days agoThat looks like a glitch, the count will go away too. I thought you were meaning if someone was reading all your feedback you'd see it (which has always been the case). Sometimes counts lag a bit when updating.
