New to selling coins on ebay...any suggestions?

I apologize firstly, if my query is been asked a 1000+ times.
I had to retire early(heart issues) and needed to supplement my income,and seeing as I had collected coins for over 40 years...here I am.
As I have yet to have any customers, popular e-bay advice was to put less desirable coins on - CHECK!
Use the auction setting,and set at .99 cents -CHECK!
If you're familiar with prices for X,Y and Z coins, my prices are quite respectable,but not only no bids,but no traffic - isn't the WHOLE point of e-bay is to generate traffic?

·2 years agoI ran a sale for my 625 items for a week. Some I put on Auction 30% below price and the majority was 25% off. I did not have a single sale.

Much of the slow sales has to do with the volume of listings available and the items with really high promoted rates taking up the bulk of the real estate fron and center. Difficult for EVERYONE to show up near the top of search. Unsure how far most buyers look when doing a search but from personal experience I go a page or 2 unless I am not finding anything similar to what I am looking for OR researching. Probably not what you wanted to hear but that has been my recent (past 3 years) experience. Unfortunately what buyers and seller are now up against.

EBay's advice is good for eBay.
EBay is not your friend , eBay is your landlord.
Do NOT use auctions.
Only about 15% of transactions are auctions, and most end with only one bid, because buyers don't want to wait seven days to be outbid at the last second by a sniper.
Do NOT start your listing at any price you would not be content to sell for.
Do give a shipping price for USA or you will not be seen in the USA- the biggest single economy in the world.
In fact, list on dotCOM rather than dotCA- because our American friends don't see dotCA listings until dot COM has been seen.
