Hi all. Upon relisting an item bay turned on offers. We did not know they snuck that in there this time. We generally do not enable offers, pretty much never. A buyer made an offer and we decided to this time accept the offer. Now the buyer has disappeared without paying and no response.
Ebay seems to have taken away the option to do something about non payment. It used to be 96 hours then a seller could cancel for non payment. Not anymore. No resolution in sight. How long does the buyer have to complete payment?
We had it set to require immediate payment for buy it now however since ebay turned on offers that does not apply in this case.

·1 week agoJust to add, be careful. eBay seems to remove Custom SKU when they relist automatically.
We were wondering why some items were missing the Custom SKU... We use it for inventory and picking orders. When ebay relist items automatically after non-payment or cancellation, it is removed.

OP1 week agoHi all. It is cancelled now after the 96 hour wait. Time to relist it while making sure ebay is not up to funny business this time around.

·2 weeks agoYes it is 4 full days before you can cancel due to "buyer didn't pay". That option only shows up when the time has passed.

·2 weeks ago4 calendar days, per this link. I think if you try to cancel before that due to non-payment it will not let you.

OP2 weeks agoEbay did it with the 2 items when we relisted them. We discovered this after receiving the offer on the 1 then we went and checked all of our items and found ebay only did it to the 2 items. We accepted the offer on the one and turned off offers on the remaining one right away. We never enable offers. Ebay has done this before but it has been many many months maybe over a year?... since the last time they did it so it tricked us and caught us off guard this time.
The problem now is the non payment and we need that resolved so we can relist it. It is a time sensitive item that needs to be sold already.

·1 week agoI suppose you could use "Sell Similar" but be careful when the first transaction is cancelled that it does not automatically relist.

Regarding best offers, at some point in time on many of my listings eBay modified many of mine to automatically accept vs minimum offer. If you create a new listing with best offer, the next one you create will have the option. In testing my settings the link for modifying best offers "seems" to have been deactivated. You can try using bulk edit. You just have to make sure that column has been added to the display.
From doing a quick search of your current listings I am not seeing any listings with best offer. You could try to relist item (without doing so) to see what displays for your best offer settings. As a side note, in past you could check a sellers master list of listings and toggle best offer as an option. I am no longer seeing that feature. (Unless it is very well hidden.)
Listings with best offer turned on can also be accessed via the sellers hub. Turn on filter to view listings where it has been applied.
