order value on the label
Summary: thebossorder started a discussion about the topic of 'order value on the label' but did not provide any additional context or follow-up responses.
I’ve recently run into an issue with the total order value when purchasing shipping labels.
Normally, when a buyer purchases multiple quantities of the same item, the total value is calculated correctly. For example, if someone buys 3 items at $10 each, the total shows as $30, and I can print the label without any adjustments.
However, now the system seems to multiply the total order value again by the quantity. So instead of showing $30 for 3 items, it calculates incorrectly, and I have to manually divide the total value by the number of items just to get the correct amount on the label.
I’ve purchased thousands of labels before and never encountered this issue, and I haven’t seen any announcement about changes to how values are calculated.
This becomes a serious problem for larger orders. If a buyer purchases a high quantity, the declared value becomes completely inaccurate, and something that used to take 10 seconds now turns into a time-consuming process.
Does anyone know what might be causing this? Is this an issue on Canada Post’s side, eBay’s side, or just a temporary glitch?
any idea why this is happening ? is it CP side or eBay or just a glitch
