PSA GRADING VS KSA GRADING - HAVE WE BEEN BRAINWASHED?
AM I TO BELIEVE THAT KSA GRADING IS SO VASTLY INFERIOR TO PSA GRADING THAT A KSA 10 IS SUPPOSEDLY EQUAL TO A PSA 8. MAKES NO SENSE TO ME. IT SEEMS SELLERS OF KSA CARDS HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED INTO BELIEVING THIS AND ARE SELLING GOOD CARDS AT HUGE DISCOUNTS RELATIVE TO PSA. I KNOW PSA HAS A HUGE MARKET SHARE COMPARED TO KSA BUT THAT IMHO DOESN'T MEAN THEIR GRADING IS NECESSARILY MORE ACCURATE THAN KSA. I THINK GRADING IS A VERY SUBJECTIVE. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE AN OPINION ON THIS?

I do sell a few cards here and there and am by no means an expert. I did do a research dive on this topic some time ago as I was trying to find a Canadian grader for some rare PS4 games I have. The reason I wanted a Canadian grader was due to the extreme wait times for grading at PSA and shipping issues to the USA. I found at that time grading facilities were not at all created equal in the minds of collectors. I found it strange also that the same grading facility would grade the same item differently when actually tested by collectors. As with all collectables, prices are set by the market demand at the time of sale. KSA cards do not seem to have the same "demand" as PSA. I personally don't think they grade any better or worse, it is the lower demand for collectors ( most likely American who value the American grader higher) that drives the market price down. As most buyers are American, Canadian sellers devalue the KSA cards to drive sales, thus driving the value down further. Just my theory though.
