Shipping from Canada to the US question
Hi friends . I sell used auto parts , window switchs , heater controls etc. my shipment are all in small boxes, I ship UPS only . my question , if the part does not say where it came from , and I put Made inUSA , will it just go thru UPS customs with no problems ? Or if you put origin USA , shipping from Canada , would they rip open each box to see if it says Made in USA ? thank you !!!

·11 months agoUse Google or ChatGPT to help you find the origin. If you still can't then put the COO as where the vehicle is made. Ex. Honda, Toyota, Subaru etc - Japan. But never lie about it, not worth the risk of getting a 5k+ fine for first offense.

·11 months agoI personally in the future if they ever allow shipping to the US, will only ship items that state they were produced made in the USA. If it doesn't state COO like Putumayo CD's I will consider them as made elsewhere and not ship to the US claiming they were made in the US. Not worth the hassle for me or my customers.

·11 months agoThey can open it at their discretion. They're probably initially using AI to figure out if it's likely accurate. They can levy HUGE fines if they find you're lying, along with other penalties. When you sign the customs declaration, you're signing an international legal document.
