Shipping to Europe
This was a first so be careful as i sold an item and went to the Post Office to mail it to Spain and was told there is a hold on most European countries.
Something to do with Vat. I really think Ebay should be on top of this.

·3 weeks agoIt's to do with there de minimis going away. I was in line at the post office and someone was picking up a package they sent to France that Customs returned back because Customs wasn't paid. As john_koenig99 said, Stallion and Chit Chats will ship your packages to Europe, but you will pay about $4.85 CAD for every line item on the invoice.

·3 weeks ago · EditedI had a customer from Poland recently and shipped through ChitChats. The parcel (with tracking) postage charge was 8.50 (PostNL) + 4.85 new fee = total 13.35. Still not bad.

·1 week agoHi, which shipping company is the tracking on? So the $4.85 fee is on top even though the customer already paid for VAT on their eBay order?
I recently got a France order and I was oblivious to the new changes... I normally only use Canada Post because the closest Chit Chat is 10km drive from home. But I don't want to cancel the order and to risk a neg so I'll ship the France order and adjust my ship to locations.

·1 week ago · EditedThe tracking is on PostNL Yes, the fee is on the top of all other fees. My ChitChats is 8 km from me in heavy downtown traffic, so I go there only if I have more than 3-4 packages to ship and international or domestic parcels (always at a half of the CP price).

I haven't shipped anything to Europe since, but I heard that Canada Post is accepting parcels again to some EU countries that were included in that infamous list.

Edit: If you ship via eIS is a moot point, as they'll charge VAT to the buyer, in advance. Also, you can use ChitChats or Stallion as alternative shipping methods.
