I just had an order with the same thing. eBay charged it on an order that was LESS than $100! Total order value including taxes&shipping was $94cdn. Granted I don't know what the US portion of the shipping cost was being EIS, but from what I've seen USPS is super cheap to ship - usually around $12-18cdn so total order value well below $100US.
But of course I have to pay 14% on it in eBay transaction fees on thier potentially wrongfully charged fee.
Naturally as I can't prove it's wrong since I do not know the buyer paid shipping costs, I don't have any way of challenging it. Typical.

Are you sure you were charged fees on it? Fees on eIS orders are usually only charged on the price of the item plus the shipping to the hub.

·6 months agoRemember your buyer pays for shipping.
Even with Free Shipping -> the seller is including their shipping costs in the asking price.
Your buyer should know that their state has such a charge on all delivered goods.

·6 months agoTIL when getting those links again that Minnesota fee has a $100 order threshold. I wonder if ebay follows that?
(edit: Found an old one, does appear to follow it)

·6 months agoIt's a charge two states have...your order most likely going to Minnesota from what you show.
For Colorado (28 cents, about 38.35 cents CAD):

For Minnesota it has 50 cent delivery fee, or 68.48 cents CAD:

This applies to direct shipping international orders too.
