Shippo/Netparcel savings higher than ebay savings on Canada Post domestic expedited labels?
Summary: jtg204 highlights that Shippo and Netparcel are providing lower estimates for Canada Post expedited shipping labels compared to eBay. chicweb and dinomitesales agree, noting that these platforms often offer better rates for domestic and international shipments. mrdutch1001 mentions that a Canada Post promo might be influencing these differences. Meanwhile, cottagewoman discusses the complexity of shipping options in Canada and expresses a desire for eBay to integrate with platforms like Stallion to simplify rate calculations. However, mrdutch1001 points out that such integration would require cooperation from couriers, which is not always feasible. Despite potential postal strikes, some participants like mrdutch1001 are not planning to pause their sales but will adjust strategies accordingly.
I'm getting lower estimates on Shippo/Netparcel domestic CP expedited labels when compared to ebay labels. I had one charge lower than the estimated amount though, so perhaps ebay estimates are just not reflecting actual label costs again?
On a CP Expedited parcel today:
ebay estimate: $20.80
Shippo/Netparcel: $18.74
From last week:
ebay estimate was: $21.88 (only charged $19.70 however)
ebay estimate today: $21.88
Shippo today: $18.43
From April 21:
ebay today estimate: $21.92 (was only $19.98 on April 21)
Shippo label today: CA$19.73

·1 year agoYes, this has been the case for a while now. I've been purchasing all my Canada Post (domestic) Expedited Parcel labels on NetParcel (Shippo has the exact same rates as well, but I find NetParcel easier to use as I can pay with PayPal). They have better rates than eBay Labels.
Obviously if it can qualify for Expedited Lite I still go with eBay. And eBay also has the highest discounts on Tracked Packet-USA.

·1 year agoShipping more in Canada now is almost as bad, with the added bonus of looming strikes, etc. Outside of CP you have all the different couriers with their delivery area limitations, different price brackets depending on distance/urban/rural, etc. SO WISH eBay could integrate with a platform like Stallion and give us a way to ship where the best calculated rate could be offered to our customers based on package info, and we could restrict carriers we didn't want to use!

·1 year agoWe sellers can wish for many things on eBay or any selling site for that matter, but that does not mean that it is doable. It may not be an option for eBay to integrate with other couriers .... those couriers must be willing to do so.... Stallion and/or similar type couriers havie to have the desire/the want/the need/the willingness to integrate with eBay. Not all shipping companies want to integrate with eBay and/or other selling sites. It has to be a mutual agreement with both sides providing the necessary tools and accessibility to carry out that integration process.

·1 year ago"I'm getting lower estimates on Shippo/Netparcel domestic CP expedited labels when compared to ebay labels"
Most likely due to the fact that the Canada Post Expedited Parcel promo(a promo that is not associated with eBay), was extended to latter part of June...

·1 year agoI have lower cost on Canada Post International Shipping too on Shippo.
Right now, I think the only interesting labels to buy on eBay is shipping to the USA. Otherwise, Shippo is very interesting.
