Sneaky Price Increase on Canada Post Extra Small Flat Rate Box - July 8, 2024
Just a head's up if you haven't noticed.
On July 8th Canada Post stealthily increased the price of the Extra Small Flat Rate Box from $16.99 to $17.99. The other boxes remain the same price (for now). We were only given a couple weeks advance notice of this update at the post offices.
I remember when the Small Flat Rate Box was only $12.49 (cries in Canadian shipping costs).

Seems increditibily sneaky of them considering this product just came out a short time ago and nothing in way of any kind of announcement. As it is I've had a number of items close to fitting....just not quite!! And as of late so few Canadian orders unable to tell if the SAVE 8 promotion is a thing...yet!! The link on the announcement still has not been corrected.

·2 years agoInteresting. The website still says it's $16.99, but the cost for 12 from the online store works out to $17.99.

·2 years agoJust got my first flat rate box at the post office, and found out it was $1 more than I was expecting.
Looks like I'm adding small handling fees if they checked the rates on Canada Post website.

·2 years agoFor anything that I use the smallest Flat Rate Box, I will simply initially add the $1 to the item price and then at some point in the future decide if I need to incorporate that $1.00 into the S & H cost that is quoted in the listing...
