I was looking at a listing from a buyer in Turkey who indicated he shipped by "USPS Ground Advantage" and duties are paid, no additional charges after checkout. I went to test one of my dot com listings and put US Ground Advantage to see if that would make the banner go away. No dice, it's still there. How did this Turkey buyer make it go away?
I summoned eBay AI Chat to tell me where to fix this setting and it's telling me that I have to state in my description that duties are paid. (You mean the description that buyers don't actually read? The one that's hidden on the eBay app on the phone?)
So if that's where the information goes, how are some buyers able to make this go away? It's not like the Turkey buyer is shipping any special way from Turkey to the US, his listing is probably duties paid the same way mine is.

OP3 weeks agoYes, the banknote I looked at said he was in Turkey, it said shipping was 8.99 for Ground Advantage. I tried changing one of my listings to say Ground Advantage like his did, but that didn't make the banner go away. (Technically Ground Advantage is a USA domestic service, so there wouldn't be tariffs on a domestic order, and I use Stallion and ship domestically within the US).
This has come up before (some sellers not having the tariff banner in their listing). I started a thread in the US forum to get some input there, but it might be difficult since not too many foreign sellers post there.
