I don't have realiable sources, my coworkers talking to me about politics is not exactly reliable sources of information. The only thing I saw in the news today is about the $2000 stimulus cheque that is supposed to be coming out (to buy votes).

The $2000 cheques are a fantasy and/or scam money shuffling, it's never going to happen.

The shutdown is on the way to ending, it might even happen by the end of this week. That said it's possible that it won't happen.

As far as the traffic control issue, there was already a shortage of controllers, that will be even worse now because a number of these people have left for other jobs and won't be coming back.

That said the restrictions on flights from the 40 busiest airports are at least partially staged by the WHite House, the restrictions did not follow proper procedures.

It happened already. Last night, 8 Democrat senators folded like waffles and passed the budget, without any assurance about the future of Obamacare.

I guess Americans better not get sick anytime soon.

It still has to pass through the House, while I have little doubt that it will. Although it's very tight and if 2 or 3 Republicans don't get back to DC on time that could change everything.

I heard at work that the Dems caved and the government shutdown is going to end, and that DT is promising 2K to every American because tariffs have been so successful. I thought I read they collected 500 billion in tariffs, to pay everyone in the US (except illegals) will be 750-800 billion, I'm just guessing here... but what's the point of applying tariffs to pay off the national debt if he's going to just hand the money back to the citizens? The stimulus cheque during COVID during Biden's era caused a whole lot of inflation (COVID would cause inflation no matter who was president), and here he is doing it again. (I know it's not a for sure thing, my friends think it's related to trying to get votes for the mid terms).

Not to say that the Orange T*rd is blameless about this, but US government shutdowns have become a recurring thing down south, regardless of who's the POTUS.
