{e228390-1254646x). Hi all, I have a pretty good rating on eBaY here and I am trying to sell a phone that is only worth $250 if that and eBaY keeps telling me in red, at the top of the listing screen "This Samsung phone is not approved for sale in Canada and cannot be listed on eBay.".
The phone model is the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G (SM-A526W). My rating on ebay is 100% positive feedback. I searched for this phone on eBaY.ca and searched found many listings (from Canada!) that list this exact same phone for sale (buy it now mostly).
Is there something I am doing wrong?.
Please help me!!
EDIT: I contacted eBaY support and basically they said the same thing the error in the listing said. BUT you can still see this phone for sale in Canada on eBaY.ca from Canadian sellers, same exact phone. This is B.S., I have never had a problem selling a smartphone on eBaY until now.

·3 months agoI know this is a necro thread at this point but I recently had the same problem described here but in May 2026. If you're like me, you might have found these old threads while trying to work out what the issue is.
The answer given on this post plus another elsewhere is, while possibly being technically correct in general, is misleading for the actual problem the OP was having.
When listing a Samsung phone in Canada, eBay will only let you sell it if it is a Canadian model. The eBay system checks for this by looking for the stated model number in your listing. In the case of a Samsung Z Flip 7, for example, this would be SM-F766W. To list successfully and avoid the "not approved" error message, you must include the model number in the Specifics section (where you select options from various dropdown menus). It is also possible you may need to include it in your written description/title too but I can't confirm that with confidence. Put it there anyway, just to cover your bases. After I did this (on the advice of a genuinely helpful eBay support agent), I was able to list the phone successfully.

·2 years agoYou have a lengthy absence from selling and eBay equates that to being "a risk"...New Sellers/Occasional sellers/Infrequent sellers all have restrictions ....eBay is being very cautious because of your "Inactivity" as a seller=you are not a consistent seller so eBay needs to assess your selling habits...
