What happens if the majority of the postal workers reject the proposal on Aug 1?
Will there be full time stirke as a follow up? If so, roughly when will they start the strike? Or will they drag the negotiations till the Christmas season, and do the strike right before Christmas again?
P.S. I know there's another thread for the same subject, but that's way too long and filled with canada post union workers propaganda.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE VOTE NO?
Immediately following the announcement of the vote results, CUPW will contact management and invite them to return to the bargaining table. Both sides must make a commitment to stay at the table until we have an agreement. During negotiations, CUPW will maintain our overtime ban but not take any additional actions such as a rotating or full-scale strike.

·11 months agoPersonally for me it doesn't matter what they do. With all this tariff nonsense etc EBay sales have dried up for me. I will be ending my subscription at the end of the year. It was fun at one time but is too stressful and uncertainty has destroyed buyers confidence levels. I've been rejuvenated with my local marketplace where sales are through the roof.

·11 months agoMy best guess is it'll probably take a few days, maybe even a week, for them to tally the votes and do all the paperwork with that, then we'll find out the results. I don't think the union will strike beyond the no overtime they're currently doing. I DO think Canada Post will lock them out. Who knows if that'll be immediate or if they'll have a few token meetings first.

·11 months agoMy current store shutdown is scheduled for August 10. Perhaps I'm shutting down right on time if there's going to be a lock out. I was tired of waiting for them to decide to do something to resolve this so I turned my store back on so I'd stop missing out on sales. If there's a lockout I'll shut this door down during that time and make my other store not have shipping to Canada until this is sorted out.
