WOOSH Shipping
Summary: Participants in the discussion are deliberating the legitimacy of a new shipping company named Woosh that offers $10 Xpresspost shipping through Canada Post. There are mixed opinions: some believe it is a scam due to the company's newness and reports of seized parcels, while others claim successful deliveries and suggest it might be a legitimate, low-budget startup aiming to gain market share. There are also concerns about potential fraud, as tracking numbers and invoices have inconsistencies. Some individuals are attempting to verify its legitimacy through their own experiences and external research.
Has anyone heard of this new shipping company called WOOSH that offers $10 Xpresspost shipping for all parcels under 5kg through Canada post?

·2 weeks agoHi, we tried the service, but Canada Post considers the shipping label generated through the website invalid. The account being used is registered to a small business, and Canada Post told me they suspect fraud. They have opened an investigation.
Normally, when a shipping label is generated, entering the tracking number on Canada Post’s website should show that the label has been created and that the package is awaiting drop-off or pickup. In this case, nothing appears. This makes me wonder whether it could involve return-label fraud, similar to the case in British Columbia where a man was arrested in connection with an alleged $500,000 postal fraud scheme.
I also received an email from the company claiming they had raised $20 million. However, I couldn’t find any information about the CEO they named—no photos, no social media profiles, nothing. The address they use is associated with a privately owned company in Delaware.
All of this raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of the service.

·1 week agoI agree with the questionable nature of the business.
But Delaware is a very common "location" for business registration because of some tax advantages. In itself not a worry.

·1 week ago · EditedI actually FOUND this company registered with the Secretary of State in Delaware. Every thing on there checks out, says company is active and even shows the date of refreshed updates. So yeah, I've been digging too. I've shipped 13 items now, all labels have gone thru, all my items have been shipped within 2 to 5 days. No issues at all with my stuff. Also, tracking and everything shows up for me right when the first scan happens . SO, if this is in the Secretary of State in Delaware, did they SCAM the USA Government as well???? Because I am sure they would have been shut down 100% as soon as any reports of FRAUD or looking into fraud etc. would have been started. Then the State would have been informed and they would have done an investigation themselves, because Woosh is in the Secretary of State!
discountedcomputerscanada
·1 week agoHey anybody can register an anonymous company in Delaware. Why the CEO and other people are not existing? No social
Media, no address in Toronto, no valid account number. Share with us tracking number and we will check with Canadapost who is behind
retroactivemart
·1 week agook well, I'm going with what I know and with my talks on the chat option on the website. Again they are in the Secretary of State register and from what I gather, even one ounce of fraud accusation the State would investigate and shut them down if they found proof. I can't share that here, I tried sharing before and it was taken down buy MOD. everything goes thru right from the interface of Woosh you click on tracking and it shows up asap on CP tracking service, has 100% worked for me.
discountedcomputerscanada
·1 week agoBut you know if there is a fraud its taking time to investigate. But share some tracking we will submit them to Canadapost, we will know
retroactivemart
·1 week agoI've also talked to CP and they told m EVEN one fraudulent label their system would flag it and get it tracked asap and the investigation would start. I have looked into this just as much as you, and everything has worked. but yeah, nothing has started yet CP has looked at my labels and have told me all has been good. Not sure what else to say

·2 days agoWhen I buy a label through Woosh.ca interface, it always shows up in my eBay shipping area as "tracking number provided" then when it's dropped off at the post office it says "item accepted at the post office" . Then it starts tracking like a normal Xpresspost label. As it should.

·2 weeks agoOk, like gtux1835 says.....they did a Reddit post and got banned, I did the same thing and got banned too. I have been very outspoken about this company from day one. I have done now 9 deliveries and all have gone thru. No issues whatsoever, I've posted on the Woosh ads about my experiences and keep getting people saying i'm a "plant" and a shill account on and on and frankly I don't care! Because this company works! Also, if they were a scam, then they must be really good because they now have APi's hooked up with eBay.ca, Etsy (in bata now), Shopify and Canada Post. Everywhere I go and talk about them i get turned into a scam artists or I'm a bot for the company, shill account on and on. Take a look at this FB post.....https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19iDnhLTAj/ I'm not the only one who's been saying good stuff about this company. It's gaining traction.

·2 weeks agoI have had one ago through and I am trying it again, being very cautious until things get rolling. SO far, so good, everything scanned at the PO. I also read the Redditt thread but it's possible because they are so nerve, they don't have any foothold on anything, I did call Canada Post and they knew nothing about it. They do have a chat but I think it took a day or so for them to reply, barebones low budget but we'll see. This was stuff sold through my web site and not eBay.

Both these accounts are very old (turn of the millennium) but apparently occasional sellers.

I still have $10 sitting there not sure when I will ship next. I would also make sure you drop off at the counter to make sure the tracking number scans ok instead of just dropping off.

·3 weeks agoMy guess is that it's legit, decently bankrolled, but not terribly well-run. The ten dollar-deal is probably a limited-time money-loser while they try to create a customer base and market share, sort of like how Amazon lost money for years while it developed the same.

·3 weeks agoResponse to my question from Woosh.
"Yes! 😊 Woosh allows you to drop off your parcels at any Canada Post outlet across Canada. You don’t need to find a specific Woosh location — Woosh doesn’t operate its own depots. You can take your labelled parcel to a Canada Post outlet, and the first scan starts the tracking."

·3 weeks ago · EditedCanada Post is currently offering flat rate Xpresspost in Canada until Dec 31/2026 for people with the Solutions for Small Business membership.
up to 5kg anywhere in Canada for $11.99 plus fuel surcharge (making it around $17 this week)
or
up to 2.5kg in your local postal area for $6.49 (around $9 this week with fuel surcharge).
Woosh, if legit, could be hoping the extra money made on light weight (<2.5kg) sent locally will offset the loss for stuff sent to the rest of Canada. A pretty shaky financial plan especially with how the rising price of diesel has pushed the fuel surcharge to over 40%
flipistics
·3 weeks ago@ypdc_dennis Wait, what? Where do you see the flat rate promotion in the solutions for small business account?
ypdc_dennis
·3 weeks ago · EditedI got a "Exclusive rates! Here’s what to know" email from Canada Post September 3.
But rereading the email, it might be a targeted promo. The rate should show automatically for Xpresspost when you buy a label from Canada Post with your SfSB account.
flipistics
·3 weeks agoYeah, I didn't get anything about that and it doesn't seem to be showing in my account. I only got the email that bumps me up to level 4. Were you level 4 before they started the promotion?
ypdc_dennis
·3 weeks ago · EditedMy level 1 got the bump up to level 4. I have nothing showing in my account to indicate the flat rate deal is in effect.
If targeted: Before they revamped shipping last year all of my registered lettermail was getting scanned and counted towards my SfSB level. After they did the changeover (July/2025) it stopped showing for my SfSB account, so I stopped using the card when I dropped my registered off -- so perhaps they're think I used to do a lot of business with them, but have cut way back, so an attempt to "win" me back.
clemowbooks
·2 weeks ago"registered"? Isn't that more expensive than Expedited or Expedited Lite?
ypdc_dennis
·2 weeks agoDepends where registered is going -- currently lettermail rate plus $13.15 anywhere in Canada, includes signature and $100 insurance (and no fuel surcharge). I don't use it for ebay sales, just elsewhere (since expedited lite is only for ebay). Plus, since I use discounted stamps for registered, there are additional cost savings versus buying a label (the challenge is fitting all the stamps on the envelope).

·2 weeks ago · EditedI didn't receive an e-mail from Canada Post about the Xpresspost promotion; I got a card in the mail last week.
The special Xpresspost rates don't seem to be available through eBay. You have to purchase the shipping labels direct from Canada Post.
As others have stated, I assume it is because of this promotion that Woosh is offering these low rates, but that they will end once the Canada Post promotion ends.

The thoughts on reddit was its a scam and they are possibly stealing labels from peoples accounts who get billed at the end of the week. Someone mentioned having a package seized by Canada Post. So Who knows I would avoid!

·Sep 15, 2026 at 12:54 AMSaw a Woosh ad and signed up. Added $20 for kicks. Just tried intra-provincial parcel and the label printed fine and was accepted at the post office. XpressPost. Tracking number didn't register online until I dropped it off. Postal Code on the scan receipt was the same as delivery so I don't think there's any funny business going on. I guess maybe they could redirect it after the fact? Is that possible? We'll see I'll try to remember to post back here.

·1 month agoI came across their add on Twitter this week (I refuse to call it X) and will do some more digging. I also work for Canada Post, so I will see what I can dig up this week and see if corporate will confirm they are a legit shipping partner. They may indeed be legit, as the Expedited Lite here on Ebay, shows up nowhere in our system. I wouldn't even know about it if I didn't do Ebay stuff.
My advice, if you want to give them a test run and try it, use a pre-paid MC/Visa card and only give them the lowest amount possible. DO NOT give them any bank or personal info that can't be found with a simple search engine request.
If they are legit, it's a heck of a price. This would certainly help Canada Post get their volumes up and at the same time help shippers across the country. Kind of a win-win situation.

Woosh.ca is not considered a legitimate shipping service.
It has a trust score of 10/100, indicating a high risk of fraud.
The website is marked as suspicious, with warnings about entering personal information.
Additionally, it is associated with a fraudulent online store, whoopsca.com, which is known for sending counterfeit or inferior goods.
