Shipping a low end item internationally. Tracking is too high for worth of item. Does eBay track this on their end or will I know it’s been received at the eBay hub
I shipped an item untracked to the hub. It took longer to process but eventually a tracking # was provided. Advice is inform the buyer that tracking will come but will take time.
Basically, if the order is shipped untracked, you know that it arrived if the buyer gives you a review (hopefully positive) after receiving it. But...they may give you a negative one if it never shows up. And obviously an INR claim to eBay, which will effectively take the funds you received for the sale.
Your post is a bit unclear. I’m reading it to mean that you’re using eBay International Shipping and someone from outside of Canada purchased an item that you ship untracked within Canada.
Posts from other sellers who have used lettermail to get their items to the hub suggest that while eIS acknowledges receipt of the item and ships it out from the hub with tracking, it can take a while for the item to be accepted at the hub.
Have you looked into using Expedited Lite to get your items to the hub?

IF there is no tracking, how would you expect eBay to track the item? eBay cannot magically track an item that has no way of being tracked!
