Thanks for the heads up. Just to add, its another .ca exclusive promotion.
Just curious Renee - how did you happen across the notice? Was it emailed to you?

The notice is also on the top of Information Central. The column on the right.

And you're right... it is also in My Messages (on all of my IDs, I might add :^O). No emails received either. Maybe this thread will be pulled because they obviously don't want the news to get around.
I have one (1) listing through eBay.ca because it is an item I will sell exclusively in Canada. I have no intentions to increase that number so it doesn't really matter that .ca didn't email me. I just think it's hilarious that .ca calls it a promotion to help with seller profitability but that they make it so darn hard to know about it.

It was in my EBay messages as well. I have always found their prior notification to be very good via this type of message - when I go to my site I have to get rid of the message in order to continue on with my business. It was not emailed to me as well though. Maybe it is because I only list on EBay.ca - I really don't know but I am glad I usually receive it in time because I do do all of my listing on .ca.

Today there is about a 1/4" of ice on my windshield from the freezing rain. I have to go out this afternoon so I'm not looking forward to the trip. It will be in 4-wheel drive the entire trip, I assure you. I worry for my daughter in this type of weather because she commutes from Brampton by the backroads to Sheridan in Oakville each day. Some of those roads could get fairly nasty in this type of weather. You could go off the road and not be noticed for some time.
I don't know what time they change the lineup on the "Information Central" panel but it looks like it may be 10:30 to 11:30.
Renee, I confess that I don't routinely check My Messages as I depend on receipt of an email from eBay to alert me to correspondence. It leads me to wonder if buyer questions may be going unanswered because I don't receive an email.

Correct me if I am wrong, (nothing to do with the promotion)_ but I am under the strong impression that if we list on .ca and we list on .com that if someone purchase 2 items and one is listed on .ca and one is listed on .com then the two items cannot be combined. If that is true then this would be a strong reason to NOT participate in this .ca promotion.
Thanks. Bill.

It's true. Unfortunately ebay's systems do not allow you to combine purchases for a single seller if they were listed on different ebay sites.
There is a workaround, however. You can go onto PayPal and use the "Request Money" feature to combine the items onto one bill for the customer. It's time-consuming but it does work.

So I guess I will start creating listings for the promotion and just keep my fingers crossed that no one wants to combine , but I better be prepared to use the good old reliable work around sollutions.
