2nd account takeover since Sunday. :(

On the very same item,
1- I received an email from a scammer on Saturday Feb. 26.

2- The item received a bid using BIN on Sunday, Feb 27.
A runaway train on 516 items before stopped by ebay

3- The item again received a bid using BIN on Wed, March 2
A runaway train on 127 items before stopped by eBay

I have had it!

Both times the item was in featured.

Seems as if both seller were in the US, so you couldn't solve the problem by changing worldwide access.

You may want to go to paypal required for the big stuff. And then place a note saying can be changed for those wanting to pay with a money order.

If it contues, remove the BIN.

You have a point re PayPal. I also get wire transfers, cashier's checks and the occasional MO.

But how on earth did it happen? How can they get your account info from buying something for you? I don't get it. I'm so very sorry for you!! How absolutely awful! 😞

They did NOT get my account info. They took over the account of other users to bid on my item twice in 4 days. You have that upside down.

yes i have similar problems my email were sent to some idiot that kept on telling people off. It really many of my customers i still wonder how this could happen at all. How safe is our accounts here anyways. Sad to say i have change my email addres to hotmail account which is probably the worst you can ever do thats to this mistake. I left with feedbacks from idiot that turn around and told custoimers that stole stuff off of. Its really when have deal with this cause it also causes many delays and hicups.

My suggest of course is two can play agame and i sure he will never and mean never try to attempt to aquire or access my account. Just uses your imagine once got his email you can almost do anything. This sounds bad i tell ya he will leave very fast.

A malicious bidder using a stolen account bid/purchased 516 items before eBay stopped him by stopping activity on this account.

A few days later, what seemed to be the same malicious bidder used another stolen account to bid/purchase over 126 items a total this time over 1 million US$ before eBay stopped him....
