If you sell a DVD at fixed price, the FVF is 13% of the total sale price of up to $50.
If you list as an auction, it's 9%? If you list as an auction with a buy it now and it sells for the buy it now price, is it then 9% as well or 13%?
Thanks.

All most items, there are four FVF schedules
- 2 for sellers with an eBay store
- 2 for sellers without a store
The two rates are:
- fixed price listings (regardless of duration)
- auction (with or without the "Buy-it-Now" option.

I should have mentioned that I don't have a store. I did check the eBay help pages but couldn't find the answer. So you're saying, Pierre, that if it sells at the Buy it Now price, then you pay 11%, the same as though it had sold at auction?

Wow, Pierre's answer is hard to understand.
To be clear, the Auction Buy it Now is at the auction FVF, not the Fixed Price FVF rate for the item category. So since you have a non-store, the auction FVF rate of 9% rate will be used if the buyer uses the auction BIN feature.

So it seems that if it still only costs 5 cents to list a DVD at fixed price and there's only a 2% difference in the FVF, then it makes no sense to list as auction for 50 cents if you've used your free listings.
Gee, how did I get so smart? 😄

Where did you get 11%? It will be 9% for auction for non-store auction BIN.

Thanks pocomo. I found it hard to understand too, but I just thought it was my age!! In looking at my previous post, I don't know how I calculated only a 2% difference -- I had 11% in my mind for some reason. But, of course, there's a 4% difference.

I was looking at the 11% FVF for fixed price cosmetics (up to $50) which is what I normally sell.
