ARE SHIPPING FVF'S REFUNDED IF WE REFUND THE BUYER?

Hi everyone and sorry to be asking so many questions!  I have lost touch with ebay since I stopped selling last May and am no longer up to speed!

I have a buyer that went ahead and paid for items without asking for a combined invoice, so now I have refund her.

From what I heard initially months back, I would not get a refund on the FVF's if I did a partial refund...but I also heard that the fees would be refunded if I did a full refund and then re-applied on the correct amount when I would re-invoice (barring the initial 30 cent transaction fee).

Is this correct?

I suspect we may be being penny foolish here.

No we don't get the FVF refund on partial refunds. Which is not fair.

But if your customer paid $10 shipping the FVF would be $0.90 and if you refunded $5 shipping the potential refund to you would be $0.45.

For the very occasional refund, not enough to worry about. (Still fattens Paypal's coffers, though.)

And if you are right about the doubled $0.30 fee, then you would be out $0.15 by trying to get the partial FVF refund.

Plus your time at $0.17 a minute minimum wage.

Still fattens PP's coffers. Grump.
