So..... just activated a campaign to see if and how this works.

One has to leave it to eBay management when it come to ways of making sellers part with money 🙂

Total cost so far? CAD 4.12. LOVE IT!

How much time did you spend setting it up?

I spend 1/2 hr then got some of my ads rejected due some unexplained reasons.

We are getting emails about paying outstading $0.15 but already forgot the password. When trying to reset, it rejects three of my passwords, because first one is not long enough (min 8 characters) and other two are not secure enough. Yeas, that's right, my word + number passwords are not secure enough - no further explanation. Don't you just love these modern password rules? Anyway, when trying to pay the invoice, minimum payment is $1, so I cannot even pay the invoice. This stupid service already cost me so much time first setting up now trying to tie loose ends.

I did up a couple of quick campaigns a few months back, and I hardly even pay any attention to it anymore.
After seeing this post again, I went in and looked and so far I have paid 60 dollars total, and have had well over 7 million impressions with well over 4000 clicks. How many have translated into sales? Hard to say, but that's a lot of bang for 60 bucks.

Cheers,

axe, it's about the same. $60 gets you 171 listings starting below $10 (400 auctions starting below $1). With average 20 visits on the listing totals to 3400 visits (8000). I guess it would get better for AdCommerce on higher than $10 items.

Although it did not for me, I am glad it works for you. They were pretty helpful when I asked how am I supposed to pay $0.15 bill if only full dollar amounts are payable and they promptly offered to close the account without paying the bill.

Folks on eBay.com seem to prefer the Canadian flag to my face!

Last weekend, I changed the image associated with my AdCommerce advertisements on eBay.com from

to

While the number of impressions basically remained unchanged, the number of daily clicks MORE THAN DOUBLED! (from 20 to over 40 a day!)

It's time to hide my face! 😞

...rings to mind that we have definitely got to get rid of this avatar we've been using. (it is actually a beautiful mosaic of a foot that Tatiana did on a garden stepping stone a number of years ago. But I don't like it coming up on our feedback page or "My World" and of course it looks terrible deformed on the message board pages.

Your post is a reminder that this silly thing is probably costing us sales and $$$.

Pierre, it may be the value. New stamp is cheaper.

They probably think Pierre is King George V - there's a remarkable resemblance.:-D -------------------------------------------------------------------

Today's Blog:

More Impressions on the US, Australia, and Canada Sites!

We have great news for those advertisers with ads on the US, Australia and Canada eBay sites: starting last week, we have significantly increased the number of pages on which Adcommerce is displayed.

AdCommerce has been a very successful product since our launch last year, and that is now allowing us to show your ads to more people. We are very excited about the opportunities this change creates for your business: it means that more people will have a chance to see your ads and buy your products!

You have probably already noticed a rise in impressions and clicks starting last week, and you can expect additional increases during the summer.

We recommend that you regularly log in to your AdCommerce account to stay abreast of campaign performance, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!

The AdCommerce team

Maybe the increase in clicks I experienced last week (and since then) had to do with changes within AdCommerce system, NOT raplacing my face by the Canadian flag! 😉

Yup, mine are up as well - last month, I had 200 clicks and I have 277 this month without making any changes. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Further to post 101 (June 2), it took eBay two months to reply.

Received this message a few minutes ago:

"We regret to inform you that we could not accept your application for the eBay.ca AdCommerce Pilot Program at this time. However, please note that starting right now you can still use AdCommerce to direct users to your eBay store or listings. AdCommerce is an effective and inexpensive way to drive high-quality eBay traffic to your eBay content."
