Is anyone setting up at the antique shows coming up this month in Edmonton and Calgary? We're coming in from Victoria and it would be fun to meet other PSers in between bargain hunting for more eBay stock.

muminlaw you are more than welcome to stop by Spruce Grove. Always willing to meet another PS. Just email us for our address & phone number. Only 10 minutes west of Edmonton on the highway.

Thanks Don & Valerie! It looks like we'll be coming through Calgary so we might not get to the east end of town! I was kinda hoping we could get a few of us together to meet at the concession area at the Sportex for a coffee/bull session. Oh well, we're leaving tomorrow and will wend our way by a fairly circuitous route, shopping all the way!

Just a friendly warning Glenda... if you need to stop for the evening in Red Deer.... be warned about the Thunderbird Motel on the highway.

The last time I was there the rooms were distastefully decorated in heavy simulated red velvet and the ceilings were all mirrored. All of the beds had quarter slots.

Have a safe trip. :<)

Wow Bill -- that sounds like a real enticement to Red Deer! Seriously, we usually plan our Red Deer stop at the Club Cafe for seafood chowder. Even though we're coming from the Coast, their chowder is a real draw! Or, if we're in the mood for pea soup, it has to be Glens right on Gasoline Alley. We're truly creatures of habit and we usually hit Red Deer at lunch time! 🙂

My absolute favorite was Lombardo's for Italian in Calgary (just south off of 16th NE along the Edmonton Trail). Most amazing friendly people, great atmostphere and excellent food. Everytime I'm in Calgary I make it a point of stopping in once for dinner and once for lunch.

I had been going for 17 years but haven't been back in a year and a half.

sniff, sniff
