Another paypal glitch

(we got paid)

C & P from an email we received:

Hello, I have encountered a technical problem with PayPal. I paid you yesterday using the invoice you sent me. But I just received an email from another seller I paid yesterday who is claiming he did not receive payment. After checking my PayPal account this message appeared: Payment Status: "pending - payment is being processed again due to current high volume. We apologize for any inconvenience"
SO, I pulled up your invoice again and tried to pay it again and message claims - "error - this item has been paid" ? Please check your account and make sure you are paid, if not, Please email me and I will contact PayPal asap and have this matter resolved. Thanks again

So the buyer is confused. Not the first time it happens.

Yes, they buyer is confused. However, our customer's average age is somewhere in the 60's and these Paypal error messages do not help.

The first email message could have been delayed and reached the customer by the time the issue was resolved.
