Anyone else finding it slow?

The last 10 days or so have been really slow - if it wasn't for a couple of regular customers I'd be dead in the water.

How are your sales?

January 2005 sales down 50% over January 2004 however I probably paid about 75% of the fees I paid last year so eBay wont feel much of the effect.

What are they doing to bring business to us, after all that is their principle responsibility?

Yup, this place is quickly turning into a mall that increases the rent and fees to tennants, but then stops doing all marketing to bring people in....

There is one of those just down the street from where I live, it was built in the 70's and filled with stores... Didn't do anything to reinvent itself but kept increasing rents and fees and very quickly traffic and tennants left... Out of about 80 available store fronts, I bet they have 10-15 merchants and even the tennants that remain feel like they are part of a big flea market....

I should take a picture of it with the large parking lot and only a few cars parked and send it off to Meg....

This story has been repeated in the past and will contine in the future.

The story of the mall is very appropriate. Happens way too often.

The banks in Canada were, and still are, another example. Remember when everyone got fed up with the service fees? ( Speaking of which, I have an appointment with the bank Thursday )

Microsoft is another one. Got greedy and poor products. Linex was given the world on a silver platter.

ebay next.
