Anyone noticed how aggressive Auctiva became ?

Tried several times to cancel. They bring all kinds of advertising before me, have to click several times (and view different "deals") to learn that cannot cancel because the account it inactive. Already filed a support case and they refused to cancel for some reason and continue spamming me.

Now I am so frustrated, I would not open an account even if they offered a holy grail with it. The only kind this aggressive are via-gra spammers.

Well, they're HUNGRY now.

Adding a cost to a previously free service and getting the cost wrong, was a dumb move - cost them a lot of users.

Nothing like a growling tummy to motivate a person.;-)

Haha 😉 Read on ...

I did "Close Account" and could not do it because "it's in inactive state, but you can do it via support request" - with link. Clicked the link and filed a support case requesting cancellation.

The reply was to use another support forum - again with the link. Clicked it and filed the case requesting cancellation.

Was told they cannot do it and I should use Account -> Close Account feature.

Anyone feels I am going in circle by now ? Do you really want to entrust this company with your business ?

Btw, folks, if you are using Auctiva and works for you, don't get discouraged. My opinion is not objective since I am biased against Auctiva and that's from before they went non-free.

When they purchased Sellathon, I cancelled my business subscription immediately apologizing to Sellathon staff. I liked Sellathon!!!

I have no need for Auctiva. I host my pics with Flickr PRO and would rather give them $24/yr
I create most of my listings in Frontpage but admit that there has to be a better way.

Anything to keep money out of their filthy pockets though.

Well, there's an easier way to close the account.

Tell your credit card company not to pay any more of their charges.

They'll lose interest really quickly when that happens.

That's what the "Junk" button on your email account is for - it sends all future emails from that email address to "Junk".

Or you could go into your options and block them.

Mind you, some of the stuff from Auctiva is worthwhile - their seller's bulletins, for instance.

There's usually at least one article worth reading in that.

Didn't you notice how Auctiva's management really behaved after they announced the price change?

I still like Auctiva, - for what I get, it's worth it.
To each their own, I guess.

Auctiva works well for me too. They do tend to push their insurance program a lot but I just ignore that.
