Using PayPal Shipnow feature, try the following cases for Tracked Packet USA
1) Dimensions 30 x 10 x 5 cm and a weight of 0.250 kg. result is 13.93 which is correct for a 250 gram package.
2) Repeat with 30 x 10 x 6 cm and a weight of 0.250 kg result is 14.51 which is incorrect rate for 500 gram package.
3) repeat with 30 x 20 x 6 cm and a weight of 0.250 kg result is 16.78 which is incorrect rate fo 1 kg package.
Dimensional weight override has been implemented apparently.
DW = L x W x H / 6000
Tracked Packet is supposed to allow any packages with a max length of 60 cm and a total of L + W + H <= 90 cm.
Hi pocomocomputing,
Thanks for reporting this 🙂 We're aware of this issue and are currently working with the PayPal team to fix it.

To add to Poco's post, On tracked packet paypal will not allow a package that has a dimensional weight of more than 1 kg even though the package itself is under 1 kg.
Ever since the beginning of the year Paypal shipping has been glitchy. It will often tell you that Paypal shipping isn't available yet if I refresh the page it works fine. Many people don't realize that is all they have to do so they just give up on using it. It is now more glitchy since tracked packet was added.

Hi postit4me,
This is proprietary information which we aren't able to share - sorry about that.

Hi postit4me,
The extra $5 was only promised to a portion of top Bucks earners. All qualifying members have been sent an email in their eBay Messages to that effect.
I have emailed the ebay bucks team twice as this is how they asked me to communicate with them and I have yet to hear from them after my initial question.
Does not matter to me anymore, as I have made my purchase from the other site as they were cheaper without the ebay bucks.

"are currently working with the PayPal team to fix it.'
I have seen many posts over the years referring to the "PayPal team".
I understood the postal functions are actually managed by Pitney Bowes, not PayPal.
What am I missing?

Hi vintagenorth,
Please make sure you select 'General email promotions' to receive invites for promotions.
You know what woyld be a great idea?
In MY EBAY, in the Listing Offers Section, why can't ebay put a note in that space....YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED FOR A LISTING SPECIAL APRIL 16-19 (or whatever)...instead of having to actually list something before the offer information is displayed

If Ebay would write policies a layman will understand instead of needing a lawyer, life would be better and easier for buyers and sellers as well as Ebay.

That's even more confusing.......................
It sounds like I qualify for eBay Seller Protection for items under $749 if the buyer bought the item on ebay.com and the buyer is in the U.S. and I used Expedited to ship.
Did I get it correct that time?
Sorry for pitching in instead of the pinks.
First the higher limit started April 9th.
Second, it depends where the claim is filed. If on eBay, then $750. If with PayPal, then $250. If a chargeback was filed with PayPal, then $250. So to be on the safe side, go with the lower limit.

I'll try to simplify. Under eBay Buyer Protection, which includes all items bought on eBay.com, tracking with signature at delivery is required for all items valued at $750 or more. Failing to meet that requirement is likely to make you lose eBP cases, for example if the buyer claims they never received the item.

Hi pocomocomputing,
Thanks for reporting this 🙂 We're aware of this issue and are currently working with the PayPal team to fix it.
1) What is the status of this issue?
2) When will it be resolved?
3) Will sellers get refunds for being overcharged automatically or will they have to ask individually for each.

Thanks........... if all that isn't already wonky enough!.............. then
Where does the $250 come in as opposed to $325?
Spending money for Express post for an item valued at $325 is ?able, but spending for an item that sold at $250 makes no sense at all.

As you may imagine, it's a bit complicated. 🙂 Pitney does power most of the Canada Post data for the shipping labels on PayPal, but such issues still need the involvement of PayPal to get them fixed.

This is a question for PayPal which I unfortunately can't answer. Please refer to their help pages regarding the PayPal Purchase Protection.
