Are the 5 & 10 Cent Listing Days Over?

We have not had a discounted listing day for quite some time. Just wondering if they are a thing of the past. It would seem to me to be advantageous to EBay to continue with them. Surely they make money when people are listing items like mad on those days.

Hi Renee,

It would make sense for them to continue them. With fixed price being the less expensive listing format, I don't list nearly as many auctions as I used to in relation to the total number of my listings. On the other hand, I also list in fixed price rather than store format so I guess they still get just as much money from me, if not more, in the long run.

The management of eBay.ca has confirmed several months ago that 5c or 10c listing promotions offered exclusively to Canadian sellers on eABay.ca will not be continued. ALL the staff handling promotions for eBay.ca has been laid off last Fall.

eBay.com is still offering promotions but they are much longer in duration and address specific group of sellers or product categories.

The last two promotions offered by eBay.com in March were NOT offered on eBay.ca although Canadian sellers could take advantage of them IF listing on .com
