Being Excluded from the Promo Free Listing Days - IN THE PENALTY BOX?

The BY INVITATION ONLY Free Listing Days that is on now - Why are some sellers invited and others are not?

I was getting the invites then suddenly I am not.

It is sort of like being a hockey player being sent to the Penalty Box but not told why.

CAN ANYONE TELL US HOW TO GET INVITED? or WHY WE ARE NOT INVITED?

I am starting to feel that Ebay is not valuing me as a seller - I have 100% Feedback - good DSR's - No one at Ebay will tell me.

I do not know.  No posters here have that knowledge.

Do not feel bad.  Even with my 25,877 feedback ratings and DSRs of 5.0, 5.0, 5.0 and 5.0, many promotions were announced without me being invited.  I do not take it personally.

eBay has its own criteria to select sellers invited on those promotions. It appears criteria change slightly from promotion to promotion.

Say "thank you" when you get invited and move on when you are not.

The way eBay fee structure works, listing fees are no longer that important so it is nice to save a few cents but not the big deal it was ten or twelve years ago when the bulk of the cost was listing fees and gallery images. In those days FVF was only 5.25% down to 1.00% based on value.

Over the years, eBay has gradually changed their fees so that sellers do not pay as much to list but pay more when they are successful in completing a transaction.  Overall, it makes more sense.

Hi to my favorite contributer! What you say makes sense for the most part, but for sellers of low priced items that often do not sell for a few listings - it makes it not worth the time or money. It only makes sense on Higher priced more popular items. I hold off on listing the low end items til the free listing times. But it does seem like being a hard working Player (yah hockey) should be rewarded, not put in the penalty box, with no explanation as to why.
