Being scammed by buyer

I sold someone a 14K gold jade pendant and 10K gold chain.  Almost a month later she opens a case against me without notifying me stating she never received item...Luckily I have the tracking info and Ebay went in my favour.  No less than an hour after getting the case closed.  She requested a return for item not as described... says the chain is fake, sent a picture and it is not even close to the chain I sent her.  She emailed me a bunch of rants and insults which I reported to Ebay...I am waiting for this item to be returned to me..can I still dispute this buyer..what do I do?????  Any help appreciated

Thanks

Diane

Wow that is painful ,sounds like a very dishonest buyer and not so bright, she is drawing straws here, lost case not received with tracking and the item magically appears as the wrong item hmmm, you do have pics of the original,so you will need pics of what she sends back but hopefully ebay can see that this is plain and simple fraud, sorry i cant give any advice but i hope someone else can.I cant see you loosing this case but as far as what she did with the original necklass goes???I hope ebay is smart enough to see through this obviouse scammer

Being scammed by buyer

You say the buyer emailed you and sent a photo.  Was this through the eBay Message system?  eBay can only look at messages within its own system, and won't take other emails into consideration.

If it were me, I would phone eBay ((get phone number and a one-time pass code through links in Help & Contact) during weekday business hours.  Hopefully you will get through to the US call centre in Utah, where there are sometimes employees who are better trained than the offshore call centre.  Have all the details in front off you, note the timing of her complaints, etc.  Stress the 2 different types of complaints.  Know how many days passed from when you show delivery confirmation to when she opened the item not received case.  Note the time between eBay deciding in your favour, and her opening another case for not as Described (again, # of days between when received and when the complaint was made).  Note the rants and insults.  Get a case number for reference.  Make notes.  If you think the rep is not understanding, or not helpful, call back to get someone else.

Make sure you have a lot of time for the call, an empty bladder, and a land line so you don't use up your cell phone minutes if that applies.

I would not rely on eBay ruling in your favour without talking to a good CS rep - cases are handled automatically, and extra information is not taken into account by the system.  Only a human can judge this and help you.

Good luck.
