Though unlikely, it could also mean that nobody has left feedback.
Yes, we were all honest zero feedback buyers once upon a time, but the first DNR from 0, 1, or yes even 2 feedback buyers was enough for me to turn cynic.
I guess it depends on how much faith you have, or how bad do you want the sale.
I love a sale, and I can be the most kind, generous bud you ever had, but I hate getting ripped off even more.
Go with your gut!

Two years with no feedback does not a scammer make. The bidder may have more than one account (it is allowed) and has used the other account and just now decided to use the zero feedback account to build feedback. There's nothing sinister unless they win and don't pay.

True. But if I was the seller and feeling nervous, I'd be certain this was an item that could be tracked once it was mailed.

This is the only item they are bidding on, they obviously want it badly since they have placed 4 bids in 5 minutes (raising their max bid each time).
Maybe they have been waiting 2 years just for this item to show up?

Or.... it's a shadow account for one of the other owners of merely six Mcfarlane Movie Maniacs Halloween Michael Myers Figures available in all of ebayland and the 0bidder is trying to place a bid so high on this one that his will seem like a steal of a deal in comparison? And then not ever pay for it.
But that is pure speculation and the most paranoid of outcomes.
Still, tracking is a MUST for this. You don't want it to go missing. Where is the 0bidder registered to? Chile? Mexico? Brazil?

I just got one today, a BIN. Zero feedback. Joined eBay, as of today. And has a incomprehensible username (random numbers and letters).
This raises a lot of red flags. But, the Paypal message says it's eligible for seller protection and the address is confirmed.
Other than cancelling, I have little choice but to ship. The buyer is in Canada. The item is going in a box. So, it will have tracking. And I have opted for $1.50 for a signature. I am trying to cover my butt, as much as I can. He can always try a INAD. And I have no control over that.
Sometimes, we have to give the benefit of doubt to a possible newcomer.
We'll see!!!

It the buyer is in Canada or USA, I would ship it with a tracking number to protect myself. Or if it is still in bidding, block him to prevent him to bid more.

EBay gives those numbers to newbies who have just found the site.
If he has paid you are home free.... probably more so than with a sophisticated scammer with hundreds of feedback.

Welcome to eBay the only place where sellers don't want to sell!
