Just wondering if everyone is doing their numbers this year?
My sales for November were less than half of last year. I have never seen it this bad. So many auctions have been going for only the starting bid and I know it's not just me in my category. I have enough stock to make ends meet for a while (as long as I stop buying) but will have to start looking for something else if it keeps up.
My sales are up but I have a lot more product listed this year. Auctions getting only one bid seems to be the norm and lots more go unsold which adds to the cost.
November was good but December has been even better. Here's hoping that 2010 is a better year for everyone.
I think those who sell gift-able products are having a blast. Rest of us are struggling. I am saving myself with 5-20% sales, basically setup 3 sales at a time and low margin items 5% off, highest margin items 20% off. Seems to help, people want to see "sales" this time of year.
Sales in December are right where they were last December. At year end it looks like I'm going to be up approximately 10%.
Steady as she goes....
Happy Holidays

Sales are up, way up. A good portion is due to the addition of new SKU's but, factoring these out, sales are still up.
We have practically stopped listing in auction format and, watching our colleagues auctions fizz, that was probably a good idea. However, BIN is strong.
We just raised our prices last week, the 4th time this year. # of sales remain about the same but profits are up.
eBay seems to be heading in the right direction for a change 🙂
And how in the world I just became Gold PS when I still need little over $2k eBay sales on this acct to reach $10k ?
Anyway, the sales seem to get boosted after the "Gold" ... perhaps 20%, but maybe it's just coincidence too.
Well, we treat eBay pretty good, pay small fortune in listing fees and rent the Premium store full time (not just sales). I don't mind spending as long as there is something at the bottom line. Maybe they finally noticed.
