Buyer provided incorrect shipping address. Undeliverable mail fee was paid by me. Now seller wants me to pay to ship item back again.

A sold an item to a buyer and the item was returned to me becuase the address was incomplete.  It was the address she had listed on both Ebay and Paypal.  After contacting her, she told me that she did not include her apartment number and she provided me with the complete address.  When I picked up the undeliverable package (once it had been redirected to me), I had to pay the return shipping cost.  Now the buyer wants me to resend the item to her correct address now AND pay for the shipping.  Again.  Any suggestions?

How long has passed?

If it is more than 45 days she cannot start an Item Not Received claim. Actually, if you used a Confirmed Delivery service, you can prove that delivery was attempted, but unsuccessful.

If it has been more than 60 days, she cannot leave feedback or the much more important Detailed Seller Ratings.

In any case, put her on your Blocked Bidder List

An ounce of prevention....

If those deadlines have passed...

Refund her original payment. Yes, you are losing money. Stuff happens.

Explain that you fulfilled the original contract by shipping to the address she gave. That contract is now over and that you do not want to continue with the failed transaction. Then shut up and stop communicating.

If you are still within the 60 day feedback period, it gets more difficult.

Again, you have fulfilled the contract. You delivered to the address you were given. Ask her to accept a refund of the money rather than pre-emptively refunding. And if she keeps demanding, just repeat those two points. And pray that she doesn't trash fb and dsr's. (Because you did ship and delivery was unsuccessful, she can't Dispute as Item Not Received. At least, not if the parcel was Delivery Confirmed. Fingers crossed.)

Was it a Lululemon item? Those are some of the worst customers. Entitled? Can I get a Testify?
