The fact that it seems to be many sellers, mostly from the within and all on the same date(s) make this an huge irregularity that deserves to be investigated. I personally have 10 parcels missing, and I suspect I will get at least 4 more calls since I shipped 15 parcels via small packet air on Dec 15

As for the sub-contractor thing (which of course is a different story, but related), yes I have had SO much trouble with the lady who delivers my packages. They are supposed to knock, and if no answer, leave an official notice which says where you can pick up your package (this is secure). But ours can't be bothered...I have watched her on several occasions jump out of her van and toss the package on the porch or in front of the side door. No knock, no wait and certainly no leaving my package in a secure place. I have talked to the manager of my local post office, as well as people at canadapost (both by phone and email) and they say they'll investigate and let me know, but nothing ever comes of it.
And I have had 1 package that was delivered from one Canadian (me) to another, that did get delivered incorrectly and the package was stolen. It was delivered to one of those large communial mailboxes that the new sub-berbs have now, but put in the wrong box number. It is marked as having been delivered, but since the person never got it, I was able to file a claim, and canadpost did re-imburse me with a cheque for the cost of the item and the cost of the shipping. And let me tell you, I was surprised (yet pleased) that I got it.

In order to preserve our feedback, we have ended up sending replacement orders via UPS this past 2 weeks, at our own expense. The cost of send it UPS is double the price paid for the items!
Something is definitely wrong at that sorting facility...

Even though I have submitted claims on all my items that were shipped during the week of 12-16th Dec and were not delivered he asked if I could send him details of the items, I said I could do more than that, I could also send him pictures of the items.
I still believe that he is not aware of the enormity of the situation.

I believe that my items (all mailed in Toronto)never made it to the US as they were being sent to numerous different geographic locations.
I am not willing to let this be swept under the carpet by the post office and will continue to pursue it aggressively.

As a post script after being on EBay for 6.5 years I have just received my first negs, due to the post offices screw up. I offered the customer a refund or a replacement, last week he chose replacement, and left me with a couple of negs.

No regular package I have ever sent there has arrived, unless insured.
I now know better, I insure even $10 US items.
