CP free envelopes

For those who forgot, the 100 11"x17" free envelopes from Canada Post are available, as mentioned in ebay Pillars.

Just log in and order. I found them doing a search for "ebay."

Theres actually no point in using these but to advertise eBays name. It doesnt help us is anyway as they are thin plastic so we would have to use our bubble mailer, then insert them in the package to ship out.

Extra work and no insentive...

Yes, quite a disappointment. I'd assumed that they were the bubble-wrap lined ones too.

Thought it sounded too good to be true!

So, what kind of envelopes are these then if they aren't bubble envelopes? Just regular paper envelopes? Sheesh...

They are just a plastic film. You could put a package or envelope or something in it I guess.

Re: CP free envelopes

They're just like the regular pale grey tyvek envelopes except there is no bubble lining.

I used a couple today - I figure its cheaper to buy the bubblewrap and use the CP/eBay envelopes than it is to pay .85 cents or whatever for the regular padded tyvek envelope from Staples or wherever.

Three people in line at my PO asked where I got them.

It will be interesting to find out if delivery is affected by using packaging with "eBay" emblazoned all over it.

Probably more likely to get "lost" and end up on CP's eBay auctions... *snicker*

Well, from the sound of them, I'll probably use them as shopping bags. We set up at several collectibles shows during the year - sounds like these will work just fine for postcard and ephemera sales!

WHatever you do, do not tell them you are a powerseller. I have made that mistake. No more help whatsoever. Amen!

Got my free envelopes today -- I was right! They'll make super shopping bags at shows! I don't know if I'd have the nerve to use them for shipping with the eBay PowerSeller logo so prominent - talk about an invitation to theft!

Re: CP free envelopes

I opened an account using my VentureOne card and logged in just now. I don't see any free envelopes. Is it suppose to be under Packaging Products -> Envelopes?

Josephine, once you get to Packaging Products, type ebay into the search box on the left. That should bring 'em up -- at least that's how I found them.
