CP rate increase

I guess we were not paying enough postage...


While prices will rise, on average, 20 per cent for Xpresspost – USA and Expedited Parcel – USA services, the rate increase will take place in 2 phases:

* Prices will increase on average less than 12 per cent beginning on August 23, 2010
* The remaining price increase will take effect on January 17, 2011.

Wow...I read this Bernie! 20% increase between August 23rd and January 17th! Now that is what I call a rate hike!

Won't our customers to the South, you know those Yankees, just love that!

Believe it when I see it. Expedited for large items to Florida and even South Carolina are averaging 15 business days or more, not including weekends. The issue is US Customs, not USPS, I think.

And how nice- they up the price by 20%, and give us 25% off- thanks for the 5% off CP, you're all heart. X-(

CP has a reputation of overcharging and under deliver, just like the city public servant, police, toronto transit workers, etc.

If they'll cut half of their wages and benefits, we'll solve all our deficit issue with a big surplus.

Even at half of their current wages, there'll be at least 20 people line up for one of their jobs.
