Can't buy anything

How does this site stay operational when you can't even buy anything from it?  I have tried to use THREE different credit cards to make a purchase, all of which were perfectly valid, and each time this idiotic message appeared and flat-out lied about how the card can't be used for the payment.

Most sellers do NOT accept credit cards directly.  That is the problem

To pay with a credit card, use PayPal which is offered by most sellers..

Ugh.  I was afraid of that.  I haven't used PayPal in years after a particularly bad experience.  Oh well....

Well, that seemed to do the trick.  I still hate PayPal, but whatever.
