I hope everyone is ready for the Canada Day Long Weekend. To help you celebrate this year, eBay Canada is running a Canada Day 5 Free Listing promotion from July 1 through to July 3. Please read below for more details.

Who is eligible? Any Canadian resident eBay user. Only your first five Auction Format & Fixed Price listings and gallery upgrade fees will be eligible.
When can I use my five free listings? You can start using the 5 free listings starting Saturday, July 01, 2006 at 00:00:01 ET (one second after midnight on July 01, 2006) and ending Monday, July 03, 2006 23:59:59 ET (one second before midnight on July 03, 2006).

What are the fees? For Auction Format & Fixed Price listings, the insertion fees for your first five listings will be credited back to you. In addition, if you choose the Gallery option, you will receive up to five credits as well. Please note: The discounted fees will not be immediately reflected on the site. You will see a credit to your seller's account by August 18, 2006 at the latest.

What is excluded? Motors vehicles, Stores Inventory Listings, Business and Industrial Capital Equipment and Real Estate Ad Format listings will not be included in this promotion. The feature fee for the Value Pack feature bundle (which includes Gallery) will remain unchanged. The promotional rate does not apply to listings that start before the promotional period, but are then revised between July 01-03, 2006. The promotional rate also does not apply to listings created during the promotion July 01-03, 2006, but scheduled to start after the promotion ends.

I'm never clear on the But it Now option. Am I allowed to use the Buy it Now and still get a credit?

Is it for new ebay user only or for anyone? (first five only is very similar to the deal offered to new ebay user)

Being a huge holiday weekend here, we pretty much expected a 10 cent or free listing promo. The fact that it runs for a few days and the addition of the free gallery pic, this promo was indeed received by us with a smile. Thanks, it is appreciated.

Would this promo still work if the auctions were listed via a third-party host site rather than directly via Ebay?

So schedule before to start within the sale period...got it.. .... But do all promo auctions have to end before midnight July 3rd (3 day auctions)? confused

No. It means you can list anytime within that 3-day period and the 5-free promo will apply.

Another question 😮 Just realized ive posted 5 canadian fixed price for the sale, but also scheduled 6 other international site auctions like UK, Ireland ect through turbo lister. Is it going to just credit the first 5 wether its canadian or international? sorry so many questions, TIA Jeff

So say i want to spread out the fixed price auctions - start one on july 1st, 2 on the second and 2 on the third; any seller would want to do that ide assume. But i would have to shut down all posting of other .ca and . com cheaper auctions in that 3 day period, otherwise ide get credit for 80 cents instead of 6.75 on each auction lol
